Testimonies – Happy Customers

Charlotte H. – Calgary, Canada:

I’m a 39 year old woman and I’m expecting my second baby. My first pregnancy was when I was 33 years old and I got some stretch marks on my abdomen. Now, after starting on your Revitol Stretch Marks Prevention Cream since the second month there are no new stretch marks, and my husband pointed out that the ones from my first pregnancy seem to be disappearing! I’m amazed at the difference in my skin; it feels healthy, nourished and strong. I’m really excited about this product and will definitely continue to use it!

Eva K. – Peterborough, ON:

Thank you for this great product! I already had a lot of stretch marks from puberty before I got pregnant, and had already spent fortunes on products to try and get rid of them. When I got pregnant, my breasts started growing a lot and I was devastated that I was seeing some stretch marks there as well. My best friend indicated me to your product, and although skeptical I gave it a try because it was geared at pregnant women. My stretch marks started disappearing and I have not gotten any new ones! Amazing! I’m completely happy with this product. Thanks a lot!

How to Cure stretch marks?

Question:   I’m 15 I have not had a baby and I’m really firm, but the thing is I grew up quick and so I have stretch marks on my breasts and my thighs and my butt.   Is there anything that I can use to get rid of them?

Answer: Stretch marks are a normal part of puberty for most girls and guys. When a person growns quickly or gain weight very quickly (like during puberty), that person may get fine lines on the body called stretch marks. Stretch marks occur when the tissue under the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching.

Although the skin is usually fairly elastic, when it is overstretched,  the normal production of collagen (the main protein that makes up the connective tissue of the skin) is disrupted.  As a result, scars called stretch marks may form.

If you notice stretch marks on your body, you’re not alone.  Most girls and women have stretch marks, which tend to show on the breasts, thighs, hips and buttocks.  Many women get them during pregnancy.   While they are more common in girls, men can get stretch marks, too.   Bodybuilders are prone to stretch marks because of rapid body changes that bodybuilding can produce.

Fortunately, stretch marks often turn lighter and almost disappear over time. But the fact that stretch marks usually fade and become less visible over time may be small consolation if you plan to spend most of your Summer in a swimsuit.

Here are some points to consider if you want to make stretch marks less noticeable:

Some people find that sunless tanning treatments  can help hide stretch marks. This does not work for regular tanning or tanning beds, but because stretch marks themselves are less likely to tan.

You can also buy body makeup the same tone of your skin that can make stretch marks all but invisible.  Although some manufacturers make these products camouflage waterproof, makeup can not be the best solution if you spend much time in water.

Speaking of pool or beach time, the good news is that current fashion favors many styles of bathing suits that also just happen to hide stretch marks. “Boy short” style suits (popular with many athletes because they do not rise up when a person moves) work well for hiding stretch marks on the buttocks and upper thighs. And because many swimmers prefer neck swimsuits high, which can hide stretch marks in the chest area, there are usually many styles to choose from.

What can I use to prevent stretch marks? (During Pregnancy)

So far, so good.  No stretch marks, but I want to avoid stretch mark if at all possible. I am in my third month of pregnancy and I’ll probably start to gain weight quickly. (I am underweight so my doc put me on a fat diet, since I’ve lost seven pounds already) I know that cocoa butter is recommended, but the smell makes me sick to my stomach.

Nobody wants to develop stretch marks, but if you are pregnant, you know, with nausea, fatigue, backaches and frequent urination, stretch marks are another distinct, unpleasant possibility.  Indeed, between 75 and 90 percent of all pregnant women (90 percent of white women) develop stretch marks during pregnancy.

Stretch marks can begin to appear on the abdomen, usually during the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy.  But do not stop there – there are few other places they may develop.   This includes the upper thighs, buttocks, breasts and even arms, depending on the amount of weight gain, your genetic background, and whether or not you make a concerted effort to prevent stretch marks.

What can you do to beat the odds and prevent stretch marks?

One thing is fairly certain: genetics does not seem to play a role in whether or not you are prone to getting stretch marks.  It means that if your mother had stretch marks during pregnancy, you may be more likely to make them yourself.

However, there are certain things you can do to limit the possibility to getring stretch marks.  Following these guidelines, which are good for overall health and condition of your skin, will go a long way to put the odds in your favor.

  1. Eat, varied and balanced diet that allows your weight gain within the recommended range 25 to 35 pounds.  Excellent nutritional status is essential for your developing baby, but it also contributes to the strength and health of the largest organ of the body: skin.  What is more, a steady controlled weight gain will allow your skin to stretch at a steady pace without rapid stretching.
  2. Use a body brush or wash cloth to massage the areas where you have stretch marks, or if you want to prevent stretch marks from appearing.  This will help increase blood circulation in the area which can be helpful
  3. Drink plenty of water.  Hydration is important for your health and well-being and that of your baby.
  4. Take your vitamins.  It is a more to ensure a good nutritional status, which is essential for your health and well-being, as well as beautiful skin and a healthy baby!
  5. Keep skin liberally and effectively moisturized beginning of the first or second trimester and through your recovery to your normal weight after pregnancy, perhaps with one of the many oils and creams on the market especially for the prevention of stretch marks.  These moisturizers will help keep your skin supple and elastic longer serve as “food supplements, vitamins (and) to your skin.  The various vitamins and oils used to create these formulas are designed to improve the production of collagen and support the dermis, to keep skin intact despite the rigorous stretching

Remember it is important take care of yourself during the postpartum period as well.  The dramatic weight loss makes your skin susceptible to stretch marks once again.

Yet for the relatively low price of a few minor imperfections of the skin, you will have the immense privilege of being a mother.
